Onteora Mountain House - Fall 2010

This was our first October wedding and the weather could not have been nicer it was a Perfect fall day. It took place at Onteora Mountain House. When you hit October, the wedding season changes along with the leaves. I love all seasons, as there is something special to each. We have been doing flowers for weddings since March and consistently since May 1st with almost no break. It has been really nice using pastels and softer hues. Now are vibrant colors of fall. Until I get the full wedding from the photographer, check out his Blog photos. They are great. His name is Jefferey Mosier http://www.jeffreymosierphotographyblog.com/?p=1632
For the Brides bouquet we used Mango Calla Lilies, green Spider Mums, peach Stock, ivory Lisianthus, Scabiosa Pods, orange Dahlia’s, orange/rust Ranunculus, violet Roses, rust tinted mini dried Artichokes violet Cosmos and Fiddlehead Ferns. The Bride provided us with a Bolero she didn’t want to wear that had gone with her gown. I cut one of the sleeves and used it as ribbon.

The Maid of Honor bouquet had similar flowers. The difference was white Anemone and lavender Cosmos. Here we didn’t use the Artichoke.

For the Brides Maids we used dark burgundy Dahlias, dark purple Anemone, green Spider Mums, ivory Lisianthus, white Stock, lavender Roses, dark red Calla Lilies, purple Kale, wine colored Ranunculus, green Hypericum berries and purple Veronica. I love the contrast between the dark red, rusts and green colors.

There were two Mom’s Posies and they had orange Dahlias, Mango calla Lilies, green Hydrangea, red/rust Mokara Orchids, ivory Lisianthus and lavender Roses.

There were two pinned Corsages. We used red Anemones, red/rust Mokara Orchids, rust Ranunculus and Ivy.

The Groom’s Boutonniere had a Mango Calla Lily, red/rust Mokara Orchids, rust Ranunculus, Ivy, a pod and a Fiddlehead Fern.

The ceremony arch was simple with Sunflowers, vines and branch.

There were stones on the Registration Table for guest. We had a Manzanita tree for photos and had Sunflowers scattered around. I loved the couples idea of using your thumbprint to sign your name as a guest book.

The bar outside had Sumatra Lilies and red Anemones in a black glass.

The cocktails were in our little lanterns. We had moss on a rock, a dried Mushroom, orange Dahlias, Scabiosa Pods and green Hydrangea.

For the reception, we alternated the tables. We used an Urn with purple Kale, Sunflowers, Sumatra Lilies, purple Stock, blue Delphinium, ivory Lisianthus, Amaranths and vines. In the Bubble Bowls, we used Sunflowers, purple Kale, Calla Lilies, Amaranths, Hydrangea Dahlias and vines. The other tables got multiple pieces of glass and Tribal Vases with Sumatra Lilies, burgundy Dahlias, purple Kale, Amaranths and purple Salvia. There were also three pillar candles.

On the Sweetheart Table, we used multiple glasses with Dahlias and Sunflowers.
