Sky Studio -Summer Wedding in NYC

Corrine & Jeff’s summer wedding at Sky Studio.

We had been introduced to this Bride from a couple whose wedding we did upstate at a place called Bezelel Gables near Chatham NY. We had already moved upstate full time but loved the opportunity to do a city wedding again. The wedding was at a place called Sky Studio downtown by the old Tower Records. It was David Bowie’s old place and it was very impressive. There were several floors and even an in ground pool.

These Bouquets are gorgeous and boy did they smell nice, I love Peonies. They are a mix of pink and white Peonies, white Casablanca Lilies, baby blue Bella Donna Delphinium, ivory Roses, Phalaenopsis Orchids, Chocolate Cosmos, and Stephanotis.

The Mom’s Posies were really nice. We used pink Peony and Phalaenopsis Orchids.

The ceremony was on the garden rooftop. It was so magical to see a garden with the city as the backdrop.  We used large concrete blocks with a mix of green Cymbidium Orchids, Casablanca Lilies, Belles of Ireland, white Stock, white Dendrobium Orchids, and white Delphinium. We scattered Cattleya Orchids, Cymbidium Orchids, ivory Roses, and Casablanca Lilies.

We did two bar arrangements. The Buffet in concrete blocks with tall grass, Belles of Ireland, Ivy, Spanish Moss and white Delphinium.

The cocktail tables had Phalaenopsis Orchids, baby blue Delphinium, and white Dendrobium Orchids.

The bathroom arrangement was interesting. There were many antiques there so we did an arrangement in an old Bedpan. We used Casablanca Lilies, Phalaenopsis Orchids, green Cymbidium Orchids, Ivy, and Gardenia.

For the tables we used white and pink Peonies, white Stock, Casablanca Lilies, white Dendrobium Orchids, and baby blue Delphinium. The arrangements were in frosted square glass with light and there were white taper candles.

Hunter Mountain Wedding

These photos are of a Wedding we did a couple of years ago at Hunter Mountain. For the Bride and Maid of Honor Bouquets we used Blueberries. Its so fun to be able to use fruit in the Bouquets and arrangements.

The white arrangement was for Jones New York and the colorful one was for Bloomberg LLP. We were doing all in-house events until the economy fell. We hope that we will start working there again.

what is nice about the Bell Jar is that there are so many possibilities of custom design.

Woodland centerpiece

This one was an alternating centerpiece. I love that it is so natural looking.
We have done so many versions of this one and stained the wood. Lots of custom styles and uses from one box. We stain them more now but this was the first one.

New Years Wedding As seen in Well Wed Magazine

A few years ago, we did a New Year’s wedding at Troutbeck in Amenia NY, near Millbrook. The groom was in the Military so they had to plan the wedding according to his time off. We jumped to the opportunity to do a winter wedding. What made it so fun was to use a little “Bling” in all the centerpieces and the Brides Bouquet and Mom’s Posy. The couple wanted lots of snow for the outside photos but this particular New years it must have been 60 degrees.

We alternated tall gold painted branches with red James Story Orchids and low arrangements in frosted cylinder glass with a mix of dark red Roses, red Orchids, dark red Amaryllis, gold painted twig balls, crystals, black feathers, black glittered Baby’s Breath, black feathers, and painted Holy. We had many gold painted branches behind the Sweetheart Table.

The Brides Bouquet had ivory/ pale pink Roses, ivory Stock, white Lilac, ivory Tulips, white mini Calla Lilies, ivory feathers, crystals, and white gold glittered Baby’s Breath.

The Maid of Honor had dark red Roses, dark Burgundy Calla Lilies, red Orchids, black feathers and black glittered Baby’s Breath.

All the Brides Maids had similar bouquets to the Maid of Honor but without the glitz.

For the Mom’s Posies, we used red Amaryllis, dark red Roses, red Orchids with gold Holy and gold sprayed leaves.
Steve designed the Fireplace Mantle with white Casablanca Lilies, ivory Roses, Ivory Feathers, gold twig balls, Pussy willow, garland, and two Wreaths.
As of now, I cannot find all the photos. I am hoping to find more from my old computer.
