Onteora Mountain House - June Wedding

Even though I have already Blogged about this wedding (see older posts June 30th) I thought I would post the entire wedding as I just got these amazing photos from a wonderful photographer named Cappy Hotchkiss. We have worked with her several times and are always captivated by her work. She works with film, a rarity these days and has such a creative eye. She has a nice and sweet disposition. She captures the essence of all the weddings she photographs. I love how she is able to “see” what we have envisioned in our work.
Bravo Cappy and thank you. You can find more of Cappy’s work on her website at http://www.cappyhotchkiss.com/

The location for this wedding was at Onteora Mountain House- please visit them at http://www.onteora.com/ I cannot say enough about this magnificent place. It is a breathtaking place and the staff is so nice and accommodating. Cappy took some nice photos of Onteora I will include.
Without sounding redundant, I will explain the ideas for this wedding. The couple Sarah and Eric were great, stylish, smart and hip. We also worked a lot with Sarah’s mother who couldn’t be nicer. The couple was inspired by these old 1940’s maps, which they laminated and wanted to use on each table. We took the linen and napkin colors from these maps. At first, our sample was in a white glass square, (see sample on May 5th post). After discussing this with the bride, she thought that Bubble Bowls would look better on top of the maps as their shape was also rounded. We totally agreed. This is a good example how important the collaborative process is.
We alternated Bubble Bowls, Urns and Manzanita branch that are small desert trees. Because I have already gone through all the flowers for this wedding on a previous post I will just feature all the wonderful shots that Cappy took.
